A celebration of world cultures, ethnic dance and musical performances will take place during one incredible weekend, September 26 and 27, at the Sacramento World Music & Dance Festival.

The two-day event kicks off at the Benvenuti Performing Arts Center with dazzling Saturday matinee and evening performances at 3:00 pm and 7:30 pm featuring Gold Medal Winners of NBC’s “Superstars of Dance”—
Argentine Tango Champions Miriam & Leonardo. Experience high energy, fancy footwork and flying leaps as performers showcase the native dances of India, Spain, Zimbabwe and six other countries.
Matinee: $16 Doors open at 3:00 p.m.
Evening: $22, Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, Old Sacramento will be transformed into a global village of dance, music and artistry with a series of free public shows and children's theatre performances. With fun-filled education in mind, the festival will provide an arena for youth and adults to experience cultural awareness through art, clothing, story-telling and dance workshops. There are no street closures and local restaurants will be open to the public.

"The Sacramento World Music & Dance Festival celebrates the rich diversity woven throughout our community," said Lina Fat, board chair of the festival and executive chef of Fat's Restaurants. "It's extraordinary that dancers and musicians with ties from all over the globe will be performing right here in Sacramento."
